Creativity and Best Practices
This presentation focuses on creativity and best practices – two areas which help individuals and organizations rapidly create and launch new ideas.
The competitive landscape of today’s global economy challenges every type of organization to continually evolve. What worked last year, even last month, may not work today. Success depends upon the ability to think and act creatively and rapidly implement best practices. We start our session by examining the nature of creativity. We’ve all heard about “thinking out of the box”, but how do we do it? You’ll learn and try techniques and simple exercises that you can apply to get your creative juices rolling at any point. Find out how to quickly energize and connect the parts of your brain that encompass creativity and logic. You benefit as you learn to both invent and then implement new ideas.
Next, we explore the nature of creativity as it applies to your specific industry. What are the different areas where we can and should apply creative thinking? Attract new customers; create a strategy to close sales; personalize marketing to individual customer preferences; save time of our employees, improve customer service; develop strategic partnerships, and more.
From here we jump into an understanding and sharing of Best Practices. Best Practices is a way to collectively create, document and share ideas, strategies and tactics that have been proven to be wildly successful. We all have achieved some amazing successes – our own “best practices.” After a brief discussion we break into small groups to share best practices.
To get things going we will all share a simple creativity and best practice template that will help as we review ideas, implementation, benefits, and return on investment. We document and share both those best practices that we have and new ideas spurred on by our recent burst of creativity. To make things exciting, each group will become a “team”. You’ll learn, and laugh and share with your teammates.
Then, as we reconvene, teams are rewarded for their efforts as prizes are given for the best of the best. For future use all best practices are written up and shared with all participants!
